"Friction between countries have three layers; facts, information and image. Information friction is information layer of the three. It is not about the actual facts of politics or trade themselves but it is about information after adaptation by mass-media to provide as commodity(i.e. news). It is sometimes exaggerated or distorted and becomes different from the facts. Because most of the citizens access international relations through such information, information has very conclusive influence to the image (public opinion, impression, reputation...). "
