【テレビ番組】 ザ・デイリー・ショウ with ジョン・ステュワート（コメディー・セントラル）

え？悪趣味？うふふ。

でも好きです。
政治風刺の効いた番組って、笑えるだけじゃありません。
笑えなかった時が大切。
「え？何？どういう意味？」と思ったら勉強不足ってこと。
英語圏の視聴者が当然知っているであろう何かを知らないからその冗談が解らないということです。それが何なのかを調べる切欠になります。

例えば今日、私が解らないのは「Rice A Rongi」の意味。
ライス長官の名前の略称、コンディのパロディなのは解るのだけど・・・
rongiってどういう意味？わからん・・・

The Daily Show(TDS)は、サウス・パークで有名なコメディー・セントラルの偽ニュース番組です。
ブラックな風刺が続く続く。よくぞここまで。怖いものなしですね。
クダラナイ！と思うネタもあれば、ヒーッと顔が青くなるようなネタまで。
マイケル・ムーアの「アホでマヌケなアメリカ白人」が好きな方なら、おそらくこれも好き。

What? Bad taste? Ufufu.

Well, I can't lie. I still like it.
Sarcastic programs are not just funny.
But it tells you a lot when you CAN'T laugh.
When you can't laugh, it means that there's something you need to learn.
It means you don't know something that all the ENL viewers are supposed to know.
As a person who lives in an English as a Foreign Language country,
it is important to check what you know and what you don't.

For example, an expression I don't get is "Rice A Rongi".
I see it's a parody of Condi which is, of course, nick name of Condoleezza Rice.
But what "rongi" means...??

"The Daily Show(TDS)" is a fake news program on Comedy Central known with South Park.
Just black humor and sick jokes goes on and on.
It's a surprise how sarcastic a TV program can be.
It doesn't give you decent information at all.
But funny.
