率直な本だと思いました。

共同通信社に長年（1960年から）勤めた著者が、日本の情報赤字の原因について意見を述べている。彼の説明は現場を知っていることから来る現実味に溢れている。

特に、アジア太平洋放送連合の1994年の総会テーマが、「アジアは発信する」だったと書いてある部分では、色々考えてしまった。

Very straight forward.

The author has worked for Kyodo Press since 1960. And he explains how he see the cause of the "information trade deficit" of Japan. His detailed explanation knowing the real spots of journalism sounds very realistic.

Especially when I read that the theme for the general assembly of Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union in 1994 was "Asia speaks out", it made me think a lot of things.
